In 1996, Mr. Chalmers developed Steri-Clean, a division of Crime Scene Steri-Clean, LLC, to assist people overcome the severe and complex disorder known as “Hoarding”. Despite his hectic schedule, Mr. Chalmers also volunteers hundreds of hours each year to help hoarders. In 2011 Mr. Chalmers created a new annual tradition known as “Happy Hoardidays”. This huge event focused on helping two California families completely clean their hoarded homes at no cost and through donations and volunteers provided home repairs, new carpet and paint. He is a key member of the Orange County Task Force on Hoarding, the Los Angeles County Task Force on Hoarding, The San Diego Hoarding Collaborative, and is the Founder and Chair or the San Bernardino County Hoarding Task force. He is considered a nationwide industry leader throughout the biohazard and hoarding fields. Mr. Chalmers is currently writing a self help book on the hoarding disorder which is eagerly anticipated by many.

While not working at his business, Mr. Chalmers is also a full time Captain on the Garden Grove Fire Department. He was just recently married to his lovely wife, Kathryn Chalmers and collectively they have 4 children ranging in age from 8 to 21.
